Editorial - Klassisk #01

Klassisk magazine, a Danish publication specialising in classical music, commissioned me to shoot an article for their first tissue of 2013. I met with up and coming Danish composer Benjamin de Murashkin for a studio session that turned out to be a delightful meeting with a very talented man. The dark gritty images will feature in an editorial article on the work of Benjamin in the February issue.

Experimental - Bastard

Early 2013 a new project came along. Danish furniture company Bastard commissioned me to shoot their first and only product at the time. Naturally as a young starting up company they wanted to kick the bucket and get some attention so suffice to say It was not your regular product photo shoot. Bastard wanted to create an alternative to the classic lifestyle imagery and do something dark and gritty that will fit their identity rather then conforming to the usual editorial look. They were definitely open to experimentation. The shoot took place in an abandoned hospital just outside Copenhagen using taxidermy and whatever was left behind on location. The result is a little different…

Catalogue - Millennium Images

In the beginning of 2013, the 5th addition of the Millenium Images catalogue came out. I was honoured to be selected to showcase an image from my series ‘Aller Retour’ together with very exiting work from 324 talented artists. Here is what Millennium had to say about the catalogue: ” Millennium Images is unique among picture libraries: it selects its photographers first for their artistic merits. This new catalogue showcases work by 325 individuals – established names, such as Nadege Meriau, Simon Norfolk and Edgar Martins, appear alongside many rising young stars. Though their practices are diverse, these photographers share an unparalleled commitment to their medium. This year’s catalogue is designed by Chris Thomson of Studio Thomson featuring a striking design. A ‘naked bound’ spine exposes beautiful orange stitching. This reductive act is indicative of Millennium’s belief that images should speak for themselves ”

Competition - PX3

At the end of 2012, I entered the French photo competition PX3. I was happy to find out a few month later that my images from the series ‘Suburbia’ received the juried awards, bronze medal in the Fine art – Landscape professional category. PX3 promotes the appreciation of photography, works to discover emerging talent and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. The jury selected the winners from thousands of photography entries from over 85 countries. Images were on show in Paris and published in the PX3 annual book
